I saw this film at a mainstream theater, takes place in the late 1700s-1800s of a wealthy young man who finds a wife, brings her To his large dark and moody mansion and then has to go off to war. His brother comes to stay with her and ends up falling in love with her. The brother never returns from war, they begin a new life, he returns, and then she tries to sneak away with every expensive thing she can get her hands on. We come to find out that she’s an opportunist and was playing them the entire time.
