I’m trying to source the names of two tv dramas from the 1980s with a ghost theme with water & drowning being the main theme. The first one was possibly on the BBC & it was set in present day but the main female character was connected to a girl that had drowned (possibly murdered) in a river or canal & there was a connection to a gold ring. The one scene that I can remember vividly was the modern female lead lying in the bath and slipping under the water saying the words ‘float, float, sink, drown’ or something similar. It was like the modern girl was being haunted to solve the mystery of her death. I remember even less about the second one but I remember a lake of a big country estate, a rowing boat on the lake & a scene where water came crashing down an ornate staircase and also red roses. Any help in identifying these two dramas would be amazing.
