It was a movie that took place in World War II, and is about a woman who is hired as a female companion of a young aspiring singer. The young woman is trying to choose between three men: one of them a pianist, one working in the theater, and the other who owns a bunch of clubs. The hired lady meets a fashion designer, and they connect as she sincerely compliments him for his scarf. The movie ends when there is a bombing, and the young lady ends up choosing the pianist after the hired lady tells her the story of how her husband died in France in World War I. Also the fashion designer finds her in a train station, and they walk out arm-in-arm.
