Title Help

Hello, I started watching /streaming a 4 or 5 part series and can't remember title. The best I can remember for "clues" is that the series description says it covers a several decades view of England, beginning with the 20's...about a group of men students at Oxford, one of whom's uncle visits to discuss the student 's family trust.
The uncle seems mysterious ("no one ever knows where he can be found"). After the student friends and uncle spend time together in dorm room, the Dean enters, smelling cigarette smoke which is against rules. Upon hearing students ' explanation he demands to receive a letter from said uncle explaining it was he, not students who smoked on campus...Being impossible to know where uncle had gone, no letter is forthcoming.
Students out walking come upon Dean reading poetry by river. Dean quizzes them to name poet. Students play joke on dean, by notifying police the location of a man whose face is on wanted poster (the Dean).
There is also a scene where 3 men in convertible car pick up the students for lunch in London. Along the way, 2 girls are also picked up and ensuing dangerous driving results in car crash.
