This was a period drama I saw on TV probably in the early to mid 1990s and I think it was probably made in the late 1980s to early-mid 1990s timeframe. I think it was set in England. I seem to remember a forbidden or secret romance. The man and woman go to the countryside to be alone together, but they have an unexpected visitor (I think it was another man?). It starred a blonde woman with curly hair and I remember seeing her in other similar films and I remember her having a unique look. I want to say that there was some nudity (bare breasts?), but I can't remember for sure. It might have been based on a novel? I remember bike riding and the couple reveling in being alone together before they are rudely interrupted by a male (I think) visitor. I seem to remember it being very romantic and steamy. This is so little to go on, I know! My memory is so hazy, but I would love to track down this film.
