Title Help

Hi everyone,
Last year I've asked for help about this particular Australian film. I've remembered more details. Let's hope so ! I'm looking for the title of this film I saw in the 1990s, presumably in 1995/1996:
- it was filmed in that same year;it's set at the turn of the 19th century in Australia (can't remember the exact location);
-the protagonist is a young woman who arrives by ship (opening scene);
-she is met by her father's estate manger (he's probably a lawyer or an accountant);
-her father owns an estate where he breeds horses (they're upper middle class):
-the girl is fond of one particular horse;
-the father dies and they need to auction off or sell to the man who her father owes a lot of money;
- the girl comes up with an idea to save the estate;
- she decides to seal the horse with the help of the estate manager;
- riding all night to reach the starting point of the race;
- the horse wins;
-she falls in love with the estate manager;
-the last scene is at the state, the girl and the estate manager are caressing the prized horse.
-The male protagonist is not Russell Crowe nor Mel Gibson. He is now in his 60s and has acted in several American TV series. Thank you for your help
