Looking the the title of a show I saw on TCM awhile back. I dont remember too much about it. Lead character was a middle aged man. British I think. Set in Edwardian era i think (give or take a decade) in a village type setting. He is a scamp and is messing around with a local lady. One day he husband (policeman) shows up unexpectedly and she is cooking him breakfast while her boyfriend is in the cellar underneath hiding while she is cooking her husband eggs and bacon. I think the series was made in the 70s or 80s. I think he was known as Mr something.... Slap stick comedy.
