I recognize the quote about a boyfriend and a husband but I do not remember exactly from where. The description sounds a bit like Jane Austen's "pride and prejudice" There is a BBC mini series from 1995 with Colin Firth (the closest to the book) and a movie with Keira Knightley from 2005. But it does not fit the sex-scene description. : /
