There was a movie I watched a long time ago. Set during either WW1 or WW11. There is a girl (I think she is called Peggy) and she is catholic and a guy (I think he was called Tom) who is protestant I think. They fall in love but the families are against it. The girls father sends her off to a convent. The guy then goes to war. During the war he dies and she is now a nurse or something from the convent and runs to him on the battlefield and gets blown up. They both die and the town erects a memorial in honour of the dead. The families realise that they lost their children due to their foolishness. Cannot remember what it is called but it was a lovely movie that made me cry.
