The movie I'm looking for was made either in the 80s or 90s. It's a British movie. It's about these two people who fall in love and then separate. They meet again when they are elderly. The man has lost his wife, and the woman has been married to the same man forever and he has been unfaithful in the past. She has an adult son who takes her side. There is a bird in a cage in the movie.
