I'm having a horrible time remembering the name of a period piece set in Ireland in the early 1930s-1940s maybe, about a beautiful young teenager who is pregnant out of wedlock & is married to an old widowed farmer who has multiple children of his own. In an act of drunken violence he pushes one of their children into a fireplace & the child hits his head and dies. Soon after the old farmer dies & the wife is left to raise many children and is pursued by several different men. I think her name may be Deidre.
