A naive young blonde American girl meets a charming man on a ship. They agree to marry but after she goes home she never hears from him again. She discovers she is pregnant and tries to drown herself by walking in to the sea but is saved by the handsome boy who works for her family. Her mother passes off the child as her own but eventually the girl claims the child and marries the boy. It was probably 1950s to early 1960s.
