I only remember a part of it, sorry. A son waits for inheritance that has been considered by the courts for years, so long that it's driven some of his past family crazy. The court finally comes to a decision that the money is rightly theirs but they don't get any because they need to pay off the court payments. The guy gets sick and dies leaving his wife.
I think before that everyone was telling him to get a job and he tries out being a lawyer so he could look more into the case.
