This was a TV mini series very late 70s early 80s. Set in pioneer times. I remember only a couple scenes. A little girl jumping over a mostly dead fire. Her dress catches fire. A women having to give birth by herself with only a wooden spoon in her mouth to not scream. A group of very young pregnant girls(12-14yrs) at least one dies in childbirth
