looking for a film I saw twice as a child in the 1970's and the 1980's, a world war ii film, neorealism drama, likely late 1930's or early 1940's, foreign language, maybe polish/german/hungarian, black and white about a young orphan boy and his two sisters travelling door to door in a winter storm looking for someone to take them in, they are repeatedly turned away, possibly an antisemetic theme, eventually the boy finds a couple who will take the young girls but not him, he accepts and later dies that night in the storm by exposure, an angel comes to take him
