The movie is set in a foreign country I think. It's about a young man ( later on in the movie he is a doctor ) and he has 1 suitcase. He visits a hotel and in there he falls in love with a girl. But the girl "belongs" to a rich man that actually pays everything for her. Even the hotel/house is being paid by the man I think. Anyway, eventually the man leaves and near the end of the movie you see him in his doctor's office. An old friend/caretaker of the girl he met back then comes to him and tells him that the girl has died. Then he goes back to the place where the girl waited for him and eventually died.
