I'm looking for a British film set in the late 1800's or early 1900's. It is about a lady married to a wealthy man who ignores her. His sister had been running the household and resented the wife's presence. In her loneliness the lady befriends a house maid and tries to teach her to read and write so she can write letters to her boyfriend who is a teacher in a boy's college. The maid convinces the lady to read the letters to her, and write replies herself to keep the teacher from knowing her ignorance. The lady and teacher fall in love thru these letters, him not knowing that it is not his girlfriend writing the letters. It aired on PBS back in the 90's.
