Chinese period drama that I watched around 2009. About a blond, English teacher that somehow travels to Asia and meets this powerful and cruel (emperor?). They fall in love. There's this one scene where she's teaching her students how to get an egg into a beaker. There's also these forbidden lovers who get burned at the stake; that's all I remember.
