I watched this movie a long time ago where this young girl was like friends with this guy through her life. I think it was set in France and that she was like raised and "trained" to be his mistress but they fall in love with each other and i think get married in the end. I thought her name was Madeline but I'm not sure. It's an old movie, that's all I remember. Help please!
