Looking for a UK TV mini/drama perhaps BBC, shown around 2000+ about a married woman with baby boy lives in poor tenement type room with big fire for heat. They are poor and husband goes out to work each day.
She meets a foreign (east european/Polish?)man and they fall in love and meet in his room during the day. I think she had a sister who watched the baby and remember the lover's landlord knew what was going on. The husband found out and that's about all I remember apart from it was really a sad and moving story.
