Hi for the life of me and my sister we can't remember the name of a movie that we saw as young girls. It the movie we remember that there was a soldier that was in the war, but he came home. He had flashbacks of the war and in one scene he hid under a table. A young woman helped him and they soon fell in love we think but her family would not allow it. Also, in one scene her family cut off her hair because she had been with the man. Can anyone please help us with this title? We have been searching for 18 years now. We do remember that it was in color and with sound if that helps. We watched it in the last 80s or early 90s. We really can't remember. However, we know that it wasn't a new movie.
