About a year ago I watched this really great black an white movie, probably between 1940-1960. I can only remember that it was about a boy and girl getting pregnant then the guy visited his parents (they were hanging out with lots of other families in what seemed like basketball courts in new york, but no one was playing basketball) to ask for money but he couldn't tell them what for and the girls father had her followed as he was suspicious. Anyway they don't really get on and she had the abortion and years later he visits her and he can't believe how grown up she is and he loves her and I don't really remember the ending, I imagine they end up together. I don't think it was Natalie Wood but tr girl looked an awful lot like her and I'm sure the male part was played by a blonde. I'd really love if anyone could help me as I'm desperate to watch it again! Thanks!
