About 42 years ago, when I was 13 or 14 years old, my mother was working the evening shift and just my father and I were home. We watched a movie on TV (not sure if it was a regular movie, or one made for TV), but parts of it have stuck with me ever since.
A young girl, about the same age as I was at the time, became pregnant. Her parents were very strict and lacked compassion and understanding. They ordered her out of the house. She wandered the streets and found an unlocked car, where she slept for that night. She hadn't seemed to be a bad person, just made an impulsive choice, and her plight was so touching to me. I asked my father what he and Mom would do if that should happen to me. I will never forget his reply. He said that they would be awfully disappointed in me, but he guessed they would have to go out and start looking for a baby crib.
I would like to see this movie again, and this time with my own teenage daughter. Any ideas?
