Trying to find name of British film i saw 2 yrs ago, maybe made in 80's.plot was about gypsy girl adopted into a noble family who choose to aid Germans b4 start of war. She was an actress in film and thought her family loved her but they try to kill her when she discovers what they are doing.. they also kill her finance..thought the father played by alec guinness..he had pale blonde thinning hair and wore glasses..she escapes from family with help from a young servant boy and disappears. everyone thinks she died but a reporter discovers her story and prints it and she comes out of hiding..had a really hateful brother and sister.
