I am looking for a Black and white film set in New York in the 30/40's about a really rich man who marries a poor woman. From what I remember he invites all his rich friends to a dinner party when his wife becomes pregnant and most of them do not show up. He gets really angry and his wife runs up the stairs and falls and loses her baby. Because of this the man sets about finically ruining all those who did not show up to the dinner in revenge. Any help would be amazing!
