I am looking for a film I saw about 20 years ago. The story was from the us in the early 30 or 40's and was about a father and his 3 sons who were taken away from him after their mum died. In those years it wad not normal that the father could take the responsibilty of the children alone so the child care took the boys and placed them in an orphanage. Later the boys came to different foster cares but were not treated well. They were all separated from each other and missed their family badly. The story ends with the father being able to find and gather all his sons, but life has been cruel to the boys so they do not look like they ve had a good life when the father finds them one by one many years later. Could you please help me with the title of the movie?
