This is an old movie (black and white I think) about a young bride whose husband has a position as a Canadian Mountie or some other similar type of position. They move to a remote village where the young bride has a hard time adapting. She befriends a little local boy who ends up having his arm amputated because of an accident. This almost makes the bride give up and go home, but she changes her mind and stays with her husband. For some reason I keep thinking the young bride was Claudette Colbert, but I can't find a movie like this among her credits. Anyone else familiar with this movie?
