I am looking for a period drama/movie which I watched a long time ago where a girl rescues a man from sea who is foreign and doesn't speak English whom she falls in love with and wants to marry. I remember everyone being against the marriage. And then at some point she is expecting his child and he doesn't know?? And he has gone away to make his fortune?? And he comes back and is too late?? There is a beautiful intimate scene at a makeshift pond/creek behind some rocks, kind of like a large rock pool.
