I am interested in a movie I saw several years ago. It is from the 1940's I believe. Briefly the movie is about an evil spirit that lives in a tree, but is seemingly kept a bay by the powers of an old man. I have tried to remember the name of this movie, but it escapes me. I would love to see it again if anyone can help. Thanks.
