Title Help

Looking for the title of a movie I caught on television when I was younger. All I can gather is a couple of houses on the beach. There are bombs from war washed up on shore and a young girl dies because she touched one. I'm guessing the movie is based or made in the 70's. I remember a living room with a white fur rug and a record player and a girl dancing. Sorry, so vague but I loved the music and can't find anything.
