Looking for this black and white war romance where a dancer meets this handsome man. He wants to marry her and has to ask permission from his superior officer. They get permission and are going to marry, but he is sent back to war early. While he's gone, she hears that he's died, and she becomes depressed. I believe she starts hooking to make money. He doesn't die though. He returns, but she is so ashamed of what she's done that she commits suicide on a bridge, I think by jumping in front of a carriage.
