When I was little I remember watching a movie about a mill girl. After her father's death her mother sent her to work with a woman (I think they did laundry or something like that). The girl ended up leaving the woman and finding work at a mill. Her younger sister ended up working in the mill as well until she got sick and her brother worked with a Quaker family (I think). I remember she befriended a young Irish girl who ended up being part of the reason for the main character to be dismissed from her job. I don't remember the exact reason but I do remember her coming across the mill foreman and the Irish girl and dumping a pail of water on him. Through it all she'd gotten to know the son of the family her brother worked for and of course ended up falling in love with him.
