British series, set maybe around the turn of the century (1900s) or 1920s. A young "modern" man from the city finds he's inherited a distant relative's country estate and goes to check it out. He finds that he has also inherited the responsibility for the people that live on the estate. There is also another "cousin" (female) that feels he should not have inherited the estate (I think she may have turned out to be the love interest.) I only saw one episode and would like to see the rest. He doesn't know how to be the "lord of the estate," but is a good natured person who understands that many villagers depend on him. Thanks for any help.
